NZ ETA For Cruise
From October 2019, Citizens of 60 Eligible countries are required to apply for a NZ ETA visa before entering the country on a cruise ship. Eligible travelers must apply for a NZ ETA Visa for short stays. NZ ETA allows multiple entries during it’s 2 years of validity duration.

ETA Transit Visa
From the 1st of October 2019, a Pre Travel visa waiver registration for New Zealand is obligatory for visa-exempt travellers. Eligible travellers must apply for the Tourism NZeTA (Electronic Travel Authority) in order to travel to the country for short stays. The eTA for New Zealand allows multiple entries to the country during its 2-year validity.
Citizens of visa waiver countries, and cruise line passengers are required to submit an online eTA New Zealand form and obtain a Tourism NZeTA before departing towards the country.

From the beginning of October 2019, citizens of 60 eligible countries need to apply for a Tourism NZeTA before heading to the country on a cruise ship.
In order to submit an online application, cruise line passengers must first meet the New Zealand eTA requirements for travellers from visa waiver countries for a cruise, which include having a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended date of departure from New Zealand, and a current email address.
